Implementation Engineer

Position Summary
The Technical Implementation Engineer is responsible for implementing all aspects of our client’s technologies globally.  This includes evaluating client needs, assisting with the development of configurations and standards that support ECI and Client business processes, utilizing automation for deployment of standardized solutions, test and troubleshoot deployments, hardware/software installations and upgrades, new infrastructure build outs, and assisting with the creation of internal documentation and client facing training materials.
He/she interfaces with high profile financial industry clients daily thus requiring the highest level of presentation, communication and professionalism.  In addition, the Technical Implementation Engineer is required to multitask in a fast paced, high-pressure environment, and have the ability to learn, document, standardize, and implement new technologies quickly and efficiently. 
Position Responsibilities
  • Implementation 
    • Deploys solutions (production, UAT, disaster recovery) for new and existing Clients
    • Documents processes, procedures, lessons learned for integrating into iterative deployment process and automation improvement
  • Research and Development 
    • Contributes to knowledge base of deployment issues and resolutions
    • Actively participates in Product/Solution Committee meetings
  • Troubleshooting 
    • Diagnose and resolve issues in existing or onboarding client’s project or pre-production environments, coordinating with internal resources and vendors
    • Document issues so they can be added to deployment standards and automation
  • Engages in self-directed continuous improvement and learning of ECI and Industry products: 
    • Attains Azure/AWS certifications throughout the year
    • Investigates and follows both industry and ECI best practices
    • Documents new and updates current standards on the ECI WIKI
Position Requirements
  • College diploma or University degree in the field of Computer Science or equivalent field and/or related experience with a minimum 4-6 years of end user support

    • Office 365/SharePoint Online/OneDrive for Business
    • Intune
    • Citrix XenApp
    • Citrix NetScaler
    • AirWatch and XenMobile MDM
    • AppleScript/Bash
    • Cisco Catalyst Switches, ASA 5500X series Firewalls
    • Palo Alto Firewalls
  • Advanced experience with hardware troubleshooting (desktop/laptop, printer, mobile device, network peripheral)
  • Advanced knowledge of e-mail and spam troubleshooting
  • Financial Industry Experience including familiarity with market vendor applications
  • Experience deploying and managing Office 365, SharePoint Online, and Intune
  • Experience deploying and managing Citrix XenApp
  • Experience deploying and managing Exchange
  • Experience with third-party vendor management and collaboration on proprietary systems deployments
  • Experience with virtualization software such as VMWare vSphere or Hyper-V
  • Understanding of IaaS, VDI and SaaS
  • Understanding of network troubleshooting (switching and routing, security ACL)
  • Advanced understanding of DNS concepts (name servers, public zones, record syntax, registrar management)
Working Conditions
