DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to work as a part international team on projects of an American premium cable and satellite television network.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing customer infrastructure based on Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Designing application-specific infrastructure pieces, e.g. when adding AWS WAF to ELB/Cloudfront
  • Infrastructure provision automation using mainly Terraform and, sometimes, CloudFormation
  • Managing permissions, including cross-account access, using IAM and Security Groups
  • Setting up CI/CD based on Atlassian Bamboo - creating and configuring build and deployment plans for various components (Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, etc.)
  • Assisting in timely troubleshoot of technical issues
  • Communication and messaging in English

Requirements:
  • Technical English conversational and writing skills
  • Experience with any Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Cloud Development Kit or similar
  • Basic understanding of the following AWS services: Elastic Beanstalk, ECR (Elastic Container Repository) and ECS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, VPC, EC2 / EBS / ELB / ASG / Security Group, IAM, S3, WAF (Web Application Firewall), Route53, SNS & SQS
  • Experience working in a Linux environment and with the relevant command line tools
  • Hands-on experience with Git
  • Hands-on experience with Docker
  • Proficiency in any scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, etc.)

Nice-to-have:
  • Experience working with any logging and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, Datadog, etc.) to identify problems
  • Experience with Nginx/Apache configuration
  • Basic knowledge of SSL/TLS, encryption and digital certificates
  • Knowledge of OSI, TCP and UDP, as well as general principles of data communication
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries
  • Experience working with Bamboo or any other CI/CD tool
  • Knowledge of any of the following AWS services (DynamoDB, Lambda, Batch, API Gateway, Secrets Manager & Systems Manager, Key Management Service).
